Pretoria: MidCity Property Group (MidCity), the Pretoria based property company diversified its management team with the appointment of David Hewer as new Managing Director as of 01 May 2011. Dawie de Villiers, currently the CEO, will now assume the role of Executive Chairman of MidCity.
Dawie de Villiers stated, “We as the Board of Directors are in a very fortunate position to appoint a candidate of David Hewer’s calibre for his wealth of experience, knowledge, and management skills within the property industry. We trust that he will make a huge success of his new role and this will have a vast influence on the property market of Gauteng. We are certainly looking forward to this new leadership.”
David Hewer is a Chartered Accountant and has extensive knowledge and experience within the property and financial industries. Over the past 15 years, he has been involved within the commercial property industry and has completed major projects across all the relevant aspects, particularly within the development sector. Prior to joining MidCity, David Hewer was the Financial Director of the EG Chapman Property Management Group. In 2003, EG Chapman was acquired by MidCity, where David Hewer retained his role as Financial Director.
David Hewer stated, “My goals are strategically planned to be achievable and measurable in agreement with the Board of Directors and together we will move forward.” David Hewer will be instrumental in positioning the company as a major role player in the property industry in Gauteng.
